We have just pulled this ambulance out of our storage building where it has been sitting for a few years. It does have rust; the under carriage, rust holes in the front floor and the gas tank is about rusted off. Engine: It ran when it was parked, but we have not tried to start it since pulling it out of storage. It is probably locked up. Paint: It used to be white on the top and light green on the bottom. It was later painted red. The paint is fading off as well as flaking. The door jams are also flaking off. The wheel and brakes are froze up. Dent on the front fender but really straight for a 60 year old ambulance. All of the 3 cats eyes glass lenses on the roof are complete and not broken. The glass in the rear drivers door is cracked. This will need some work, but it is all there, that’s the best part about it. The beacon, siren and hubcaps are missing. We have not located them yet, but when/if we do this listing will be updated with them. In 1954, Superior only built 207 Pontiac Professional cars, these were ambulances and hearses. I do not have the count for just the ambulances for that year, but I am sure there are not many out there so I am listing this in hopes that it will go to a good home and be restored.
