2004 Cadillac Hearse by Federal Coachbuilders
This is a very unusual oval window hearse, just out of funeral service. It’s a very clean hearse and presents well. It does have a scrape and some scratches on the rear bumper but is otherwise quite nice. Vinyl roof is in excellent shape and there is no rot above the windshield. It’s equipped with flashing lights up front for funeral service, which is a requirement in some states. These lights are controlled by an extra panel installed underneath the ash tray. All power options work fine and the A/C is very cold. The only issue this car has is an intermittent check engine light which comes and goes. There is no effect on how the car drives when it decides to come on or go off. I recently had it serviced at a GM dealership and they said the oxygen sensors needed replacement and it needed to basically be driven more than just from the funeral home to the cemetery. I installed brand new AC Delco oxygen sensors this past week as per their advice. Engine is quiet, no smoke, no coolant loss. This is a rust free car, so no issues with body or subframe rot. It’s always been garage kept while in service and would make a great first call vehicle, or could be put back into service. The fuel pump, sending unit and fuel filter were also recently replaced and it has a fresh oil change. The battery is also new within the last month. Leather interior is nice as is the headliner up front. The rear has a really unusual polished metallic headliner. The headlights aren’t yellowed and the chrome factory wheels are very nice, no peeling. The tires are heavy duty Goodyear Eagles, and are nice as well. This has always been a non smoking car, so no funny smells, burns or nicotine stained trim.
