2003 Lincoln Hearse by Federal Coach company

Just out of service with 74K miles, and very nice for its age! This is a southern car, so no worries about underside or frame rust. This is a “limousine style” hearse, so the casket is visible in the rear compartment. Not sure how many of this style were made, but my guess is, not many. Hearse comes complete with rollers and bear pins, so it could be placed back into funeral service, or used as a removal or first call vehicle.

This coach has the 4.6 liter Ford engine and is rear wheel drive, so parts are plentiful and inexpensive. Rear air suspension works great and the car drives down the road nicely. Interior is in very nice shape, as is the vinyl top. Front leather seats are quite nice, and the rear compartment is cloth and very tidy, with no funny smells. Yes, the A/C does work! I have just installed a new battery and windshield (the previous one was cracked across the driver’s line of vision). Side coach lamps do light up and create a nice effect at night. Car presents well and has always drawn many compliments from people when taken on errand runs.
