For sale by auction is a 2000 Lincoln Town Car Hearse. It was retired from service in the past year. It was a part of a limousine company fleet. The hearse was rented out to funeral homes that could not afford or did not want the expense of maintaining its own fleet. It has been well cared for and garage kept a majority of its life. It rides very nicely and as you would expect from the S&S (Sayers and Scovill) coach manufacturing company. This is the company that was founded in 1876 and its tag line is “A Legacy of Excellence.” THIS HEARSE COULD BE PUT BACK INTO SERVICE IMMEDIATELY FOR A SMALLER FUNERAL HOME OR AS A FIRST CALL VEHICLE OR AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO A COLLECTOR’S LINEUP. Not many Lincolns out there, especially at no reserve starting at one penny!! It is still in very good condition and would make any funeral home owner/operator proud to have it in their service fleet. The drive line is the legendary 4.6 liter V8 that has plenty of power considering the extra weight of the vehicle. The paint is in good condition and is a beautiful dark blue. The interior is a medium blue. No rips or tears in the forward or rear compartment in the seating or upholstery or curtains. All doors close like a Lincoln should. No rust on the bottoms of the door skins. All windows roll up and down with no issues. Top light works well and has a zippered inspection panel in the interior for easy access. The headlights work but only on low beam. Both high beams are out. No cracks in the dash and no stars or cracks in the windshield. All power amenities work including the A/C, but the fan only blows on high. Most likely a resistor switch issue. Cruise and tilt work fine. The car runs down the road straight with no pull on acceleration or braking. No wobbles, jiggles etc. Tires are evenly worn and have about 60% tread left prior to wear bars. No drips, leaks or drops. No funny noises, no clicks, ticks, clunks or thunks. SMOOTH RIDE! Headliner is in excellent condition. Life long nonsmoker (you would assume, but you never know!)
