1962 Buick Premier FLXIBLE Hearse She was sitting in a storage yard for over 25+ years in the dry southern California Desert.  When she arrived, I installed new oil, gasoline and a fuel pump and she started right up!  Of course the old mouse nests in the exhaust blew out the tailpipes!  That was hilarious.  After making sure she ran, I put her in my full service auto repair shop and did the following: 1.)  I Replaced all brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines and master cylinder.  All fluid was flushed, removed and new fluid installed. 2.)  Changed the oil with new, installed “sea-foam” for any and all buildup of sludge (there was none) changed oil after a month and changed every 6 months regardless of miles. 3.)  I did not like the original 1 speed dynaflow, so I rebuilt and  installed a T-400 3 speed automatic.  I rebuilt it myself (ASE MASTER TECH) and while there, put in a stage 2 shift kit and a 2500 stall converter.  I went from 8 mpg to 15 mpg and she runs quick! (I am the first one in the country to do this and have been doing this for 30 years) 4.)  I installed a “thumper” camshaft so I could here her not only purr, but growl.  Currently I am running Brad Penn Oil in her for reliability because it has the extra sulfur and zinc for camshaft protection. 5.)  I made a custom made dual exhaust all the way to the bumper with flowmasters to also make people hear her growl.  She sounds really nice. 6.)  I removed the original 2 bbl carb/intake and replaced it with the factory cast 4 bbl intake and a 600 Holley carburetor. 7.)  Since I have 5 positractions laying around for this year (only for 61/62 years)  I installed one with 3:42 gears.  these are the Detroit locker style and SUPER RARE.  8.)  The front seats needed help, so I had the front area reupholstered.  New carpet, headliner, seats done, sun visors and door panels.  They have a spider web on the back of the seat embroidered.  9.)  Since I went to Halloween parties and Parades in our area, I also installed a bitchen stereo system.  2 12″ woofers, 4 6″ mid-range speakers. 1 New Stereo, 2 amps and LOTS of sound!  to make sure it can handle it, I replaced the generator system with a single wire GM alternator for durability. 10.)  Of course you cant have a stereo without lights!  I installed in the back purple tube lights along the window and police lights  in all 4 corners of the back end.  I did NOT cut any of the back up, or destroy the original interior doing so.  Nothing has been cut up or altered to make anything work.  This is a VERY rare car and it should be maintained as well. My wife keeps telling me that I can’t have this many vehicles as I only have one butt.  I’m getting older and I would REALLY like someone to take her and keep her going.  She has the original un-rebuilt motor (runs great, no smoke)  in her and just about new everything else.  The floors are NOT rusty!  The undercoating they put on her over 50+ years ago was tremendous.  The car was originally a LeSabre Wagon cut in half, and stretched 3 feet!  There is no landau bars on the side because she is a “viewing” hearse with glass all around.  No cracks or broken glass.  She is Extra special and impossible to find another.  Even though there was 16 of this model made, most likely this is the last one in existence.
